When it comes to storing your precious documents, photographs and memorabilia, it's worth remembering that standard PVC sleeves can suffer from leaching of plasticizer, which will lift print off pages and ruin your valuable material.
To ensure your collection of valuable documents are preserved in pristine condition, they should be kept in specialist binders with inert, archival quality sleeves. This keeps them in the best condition possible whilst still making them accessible, should you need to share them with friends and family.
The high quality ring binders and sleeves come in different sizes, which are specifically designed to keep our documents safe. This includes the standard A3 and A4 sizes, and our specially designed 'Long Certificate' binders which can hold both the old 'long' style and the new A4 style birth, marriage and death certificates. Each binder has a leather grain style finish with a high quality 4 D-ring mechanism, and can hold up to 50 sleeves. There is a range of A4 sleeves available, which are split into 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12 and 20 pockets per page, and are perfect for photos and other memorabilia.
A perfect complement to our range of ring binders, our springback binders are ideal for presenting printed papers such as reports or stories. Unlike ring binders, you don't have to punch any holes in the paper - you simply choose the sheets you want, fold the covers of the binder back, and place the paper into the spine. You can add or remove pages as many times as you like. Each springback binder has a hardback cover with an acid-free lining, with a 25mm capacity that can hold up to 200 A4 pages.
If you have other objects or memorabilia that won't fit in our binders, such as bulky medals or a locket, you can store these in our range of storage boxes, which are specially designed to protect your items from damage. The Heirloom boxes are lined with lignin-free paper and the box is designed to protect against acidity and sulphur in the air. Each box has a hinged lid design for easy access, and metal edges that give extra stacking strength.
As well as keeping your documents safe, you may find that you want to add notes or repair any broken memorabilia such as old photographs. We have a range of acid free pens which can be used to write on most surfaces such as photographs, charts, paper or card. In addition, our document repair kit is ideal for repairing your valuable documents. The kit contains acid free, non yellowing transparent low glare matt polyester tape, and a bone folder to ensure a smooth application.
